My Approach

My work is grounded in compassionate curiosity. I see value in asking direct, sometimes difficult questions to encourage self-understanding and insight that is supportive of lasting change. I aim for you to feel respected for your whole self, free from judgement, and safe to explore your thoughts at a pace that’s right for you. I believe it’s important to also consider and perhaps challenge the external factors that influence your experiences, such as relationships or social expectations. When helpful, I offer my perspective or reflections on things that are standing out to me. Frequently checking in for your feedback is important to me, as I want to understand what you find most supportive and effective.

My approach is adjusted to suit your unique needs over the course of our time together.  I work with the following evidence-based types of therapy:

  • Emotion-focused therapy (EFT)

  • Solution-focused therapy

  • Narrative therapy

  • Dialogic therapy

  • Integrative therapy

What To Expect

Our initial sessions will feel more structured, as I see value in building a flexible roadmap for our work together. I want to hear about what is important to you, what you’re hoping to achieve in therapy, and the progress that is meaningful to you. From there, sessions will be guided by our collaborative conversation.

I see you as the expert of your life, knowing what feels important to focus on. I then anchor our work through the questions I ask – holding onto your reflections over time to encourage insights, and keeping us connected to your identified hopes for the outcome of therapy.

You decide the length of our time together, whether short-term or long-term. My goal is to help get you on your chosen path forward that you can confidently continue following independently.

Haven’t gone to therapy before, and interested in learning a bit more about what to expect? Or looking to find out if we’re a fit? Let’s chat. Our first 15-minute conversation is free of cost or obligation.

Who I Work With

I work with individuals, couples, and families with diverse backgrounds and experiences. I have experience supporting anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma, among other concerns. I’m passionate about supporting women and couples feeling the weight of life transitions involving identity, career, parenting, and the evolving relationships with family and friends.

I welcome individuals of all gender identities, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and abilities. I work to create a space that feels safe and comfortable for those who experience marginalization and power imbalances in their lives.
